Description
Just as fun to say as "Blokus" and even more fun to play.

Here's what the publisher has to say:

What is Gemblo?

Gemblo, a game shaped like a hexagonal jewel stone, is a strategy game where main objection is to gain territorial expansion. The developer, enjoying the board games from the early age, was so mesmerized by the beauty of jewel stone that he was actually in the business of distributing the lovely stones. In love with the hexagonal shape, he studied the esoteric and the effects the shapes had in the human sentiments. Artistically gifted, the developer focusing on the aesthetic quality, designed the game that is made of beautiful decorative goods and also, great fun to play.

The very first game was shaped like a beehive and it consisted of shapes that were cut hexagonally from the acrylic sheet. From that simple start, the developer made ten set of rules and played with acquaintances and friends. The most simplest and interesting rule of the game was territorial and it consisted of five hexagonal pieces. As the game play became more involved, the game board size expanded and subsequently, more types of blocks were introduced. After many adjustments, the "Gemblo” became more attack oriented and more fun to play. Moreover, taking account of mathematic calculation, the numbers of spaces and blocks were optimized. This was just the beginning. To give aesthetic appeal, developer shaped the blocks into attractive looking jewel stones and made the game so that from the top view, it resembled the “Star of David” Unlike other games where players are limited to either two or four, the“Gemblo” was designed to accommodate upto six players and made it possible to enjoy different types of games following the number of players. Adding historical aspects, and making the blocks represent the goal of territorial expansion in a war, the “Gemblo” is a game for anyone who loves great strategic plays.

Gemblo is a fun and easy to learn board game where players place 18 types of blocks on the board. Moreover, as the game requires attack and defense strategies, the more one play the more advance one becomes. Moreover, just like the chess and baduk (go) game, one needs to plan ahead and consider the opponent’s future moves. It is a game where anyone from the six years old to adult can participate and enjoy.
