The Canary Islands have long been an attractive location for settlers from the Spanish mainland. Arriving on ships, they would locate a suitable island, building a settlement, each with their own dreams of what an ideal island would be.
In Islas Canarias, each player has selected an island on which they build houses and palaces. With the help of arriving settlers their island paradise grows. The person who's island contains the highest scoring combination of houses, palaces and towns is declared the victor.
